King's College Alicante team up with ASSIST Alicante

Date: August 21, 2019

The 2019 King’s College May Fair attracts hundreds of students, parents and friends to the school’s ever popular annual event. This year’s Fair raised money intended to benefit a number of selected charities, including ASSIST Alicante to the tune of 1000 Euros — money that will kick-start the ASSIST Mobility Equipment Loan Scheme.

Sir Roger Fry established King’s Group in Madrid 50 years ago, since when they have provided quality education in Spain and across the world; they represent a remarkable British success story having grown from a single school in Madrid to 10 international schools, upward of 8000 students, and more than 1200 teaching and support staff.

In contrast, ASSIST Alicante is a new charity whose mission is to support people in need. Working with La Nucia-based business Dismovil, suppliers of specialist mobility equipment, the charity purchased a number of wheelchairs and wheeled walkers that are now available for loan.
